Video Q & A Money

Is It Okay To Manifest Money?

This question is one that almost all my clients ask me at some point. It's probably one that you've wondered about as well. That is;

Is it really okay to ask for money?

The answer to this question comes down to the one I'm about to ask you now.

Is manifesting money a big deal to you?

The idea of manifesting money is a massive deal for a lot of us. After all, most of us have been taught that "the love of money is the root of all evil." (You can find that particular reference in the Bible,1 Timothy 6:10). I agree that loving money shouldn't take priority over people. I do sometimes find somebody that values money over loved ones and pretty much everything else in life. That isn't the way to have a successful and happy life, in my opinion. I know that I was also taught that I should learn how to be content with what I have. I don't disagree with this idea at all. It's essential to be happy with what you've got, even while you're manifesting something different or more significant for you. There's also much emphasis put on the desires of materialistic goals. But no matter what type of goal you have, because there are all kinds, money often has a role in the obtainment of them if even it's a minor one.

Just because you want a material object, that doesn't make you a bad person at all. The guideline I suggest my clients use in determining if a materialistic type goal is worthwhile for them is to figure out what they want it to add to their lives. If it's just going to give them something to brag about, maybe it's not really the best goal for them, especially if they think that would be out of alignment with who they are and make them feel guilty. But if they believe it will enrich their life in some way and they can feel good with it, then it's a different story. It's this way with money as well. Even the Bible gives us references for asking for things. Mark 11:24 says, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

So, yes, it's fine to ask for more money. The place most of us run into trouble when it comes to attracting more of it into our lives is the importance we give it. It plays such an enormous role in our desires that we sometimes forget what money truly is. It's certainly not the be-all, end-all. Even though it can change our lives if the quantity of it is high enough, it doesn't assure us anything in particular. Money is a tool for us to provide a certain measure of comfort for ourselves and our families. It's also there to help us reach our desires. It isn't surprising then that it seems essential, perhaps more than it is, for our actual happiness.

Sometimes this is illustrated by people who win big on the lottery. According to several different studies, out of all the people who have a huge lottery win, 70% of them will end up going broke. 1% of those end up filing for bankruptcy each year. In fact, those that win the lottery end up being twice as likely to file for bankruptcy than those of us who don't win it. Not only that, but 43% of lottery winners said that having that much money didn't affect their happiness.

I'm not trying to dissuade you from attracting more money into your life in any amount. I'm just giving you something to think about. My point is that we can learn something here. Money seems to buy happiness for a while, at least for some of us. While there's nothing wrong with having money or using it in ways that make you happy for a while, it can be a very fleeting thing.

Even though the answer to this question is no, it's not wrong to ask for or to attract money, having a lot of it may not be for everyone. I wouldn't make an enormous deal of having a ton of it. Before you set your eye on having millions realize that everything that comes with that much money is amplified as well, including any types of money problems that could appear. So be clear about why you want it and how you'll use it before you set out to get it. If you're aligned with money and feel it's for your overall good, the universe wants you to have it too. Then it can come to you in the best way possible. If you have any nervousness about it, work on calming that and be prepared to live with large amounts of it if that's what you want. So if you dream of having a lot of money, go ahead and work on manifesting it, but do it in a way so that it brings good to you and to the world.
