How Strong Does My Desire Need to Be to Manifest?

This week our question came through our mailbox. There's no name on this message, so I hope that you find your answer here. I did send a return email to let the person who submitted this question know that it's on the blog. Here's the question;

How strong does a desire have to be before it manifests?

This person is also wondering if they have to work on increasing their level of desire.

So first of all, thanks for the question, it's a good one!

There are levels to your desire.

There are going to be different levels of desire, depending on who you are and what it is you want. Everybody has ideas of what's essential, and the things they label as being necessary to them will generate the highest levels of desire. Also, the physical sensation it produces comes with many names. That's why I think it's a good idea to separate some of these different levels so you'll understand my answer to this question.

The first level is the one with an infinite amount of desires. We all live here to some degree because we're part of this physical realm. There's an endless amount of material things that we may want, and they present themselves to us every day. Because of our physical needs and wants, a lack of these things showing up for us can drive us through our emotions. The more pressing the need is, the more feeling we feel unless we learn how to control our emotions. It's okay to want material things if we think it's going to add to our lives in some way, like making us feel a sense of happiness or relief or something else that will be positive for us.

But there's another level where we can and usually do exist for a time. This class of desire has relatively few things that we would like to have there. Since as we go through life and we achieve our goals and accumulate some of the material things we want, it's more pared down. We become more clear about what's critical for us to live the life we want. You'll often find people at this level once they obtain a feeling of security, success, or maturity in their lives. Also, people who have more altruistic goals tend to hang out here more often.

The fewer requests we make of life is often an indicator of where our spiritual and emotional development is. The fewer desires we have, the more passionate we are about them. That's why you'll often find those who live for their passions find success. You may be able to think of a great leader, humanitarian, artist, musician, etc. who has accomplished much in their life because of their ability to focus on what they love.

Do you feel an intensity in your motivation?

The suggestion then is that the strength of any want you have is reflected in how motivated you are to get it. If you're serious about using the LOA to draw something to you, there's a strong desire there. If it's more like a wish or a hope instead of longing or a hunger for something, then it probably isn't as crucial to your life's story. I don't think you're going to want to try increasing your desire for something to inflate its seriousness to you. Manifesting can get a bit tricky here.

You'll know if it's worth having by how you'll feel when you think about having it. If you think it would be nice to have, it might be a bit easier to manifest because you'll be putting less priority on it, and that can allow you easier access to it.

If it's something you think you need because of physical or material longings for it, you may be putting out a lot of intense emotion and emphasis on having it. There's a vast difference between a love of something and a need for it. You have to watch how you're thinking and feeling about whatever you set out to manifest. If you're choosing something, the more love and the higher quality vibration you have for it, the better the outcome is going to be.

If it's something more spiritual that you have a real passion for, you'll have a higher rate of success. Why? Because your soul's aligned with it. There's nothing more you need to do. Just be sure you don't start putting out an undue amount of effort, and you'll know what you want is undoubtedly right in front of you.

I trust this will make sense to you. Remember to get your shine on today to make things just that much better! See ya next time.
